About us

Founded in Croydon by Monique Lindsay, Care Leaders Group CIC was created from the realization that many people, even those receiving care services still experience deep loneliness, isolation, and a lack of meaningful connection.Through years of experience in health and social care, our founder Monique recognized that many older adults slipped through the cracks and remained unseen, how many disabled people were disconnected from their communities and how many carers felt overwhelmed without wider support.Care Leaders Group was built to fill that gap.Today, we work closely with residents, families, volunteers and local partners to create positive change across Croydon and beyond. We champion individuality, strengthen well-being and help people rediscover friendships, purpose and belonging. We don’t just deliver support — we lead by example. Building a community where everyone feels valued and connected.

Our  Missions

Our mission is to tackle loneliness and isolation, improve well-being through community engagement.

Our three core aims:

Sad Girl

Tackling Loneliness

We understand the importance of feeling valued and included in the community, so it is essential that we support people who may be socially excluded and give them opportunities to engage, socialize and be included.

Strengthening Community Engagement

We aim to empower the community by building trusting partnerships with local care homes and health providers to create a more accessible and intergrated approach between the local community, health and social care and voluntary partners.

Our  Motto

Our motto reflects the heart of our work and the values that guide every interaction we have:
Empowering Communities, Inspiring Care, Leading by Example.

Empowering Communities

Many older and disabled adults experience days without seeing or speaking to anyone.Loneliness affects both physical and mental health, often leading to depression or loss of confidence.   We provide a lifeline — a friendly face, a group to belong to, and people who genuinely care.

Inspiring Care

We believe in real support that uplifts, not limits. Our approach inspires both those we support and those who care for them. We show that kindness, patience, and creativity can transform lives.Whether through a befriending visit or a group activity, we see every act of support as an opportunity to inspire hope and change.

Leading by Example

We lead by showing what compassionate, community-based support should look like. Our work sets a standard — treating every individual with warmth, respect and genuine care. We want our organisation to remind others that true transformational community impact is created through genuine connection and heartfelt support .
